Learn about lime wash
Application & distressing
Our painters are expert applicators of lime wash, having completed multiple large projects with different levels of distress. After we properly dilute and mix the lime wash, we will apply the lime wash using a sprayer for even coverage. Next, we allow it to dry for a certain amount of time, depending on the temperature to give us the perfect consistency to start distressing. When the lime wash is ready to distress, we use water pressure and a wet sanding technique to remove a certain amount in certain areas, to turn old outdated brick into a beautiful naturally aged authentic European whitewash look!
FInding the look you desire
Before we start lime washing major sections of your home or business, one of our applicators will prepare a 6'x6' section and distress with you alongside. Once we've achieved your desired look, we will continue with the remaining surfaces. There are 3 levels of distress to choose from:
1) Heavy Distress (very rustic heavy with brick exposure)
2) Moderate Distress (modern/rustic with medium brick exposure)
3) Minimal Distress (modern with little brick exposure)
